As the mortgage industry has evolved after the housing crisis, along with the push to online commerce, we have witnessed the mortgage business become less personal, more generic and commoditized (e.g. the big banks and large online mortgage companies). At the same time, we have witnessed the knowledge, experience, and skill level of those serving home loan consumers decline substantially. Many of the people serving home loan customers today are nothing more than glorified “order takers,” who are not experienced seasoned professionals equipped to provide the type of guidance and service you need or expect. In fact, we believe that the level of customer service and expertise provided to home loan consumers today has hit an all-time low!
